XYPHERS LOCAL-FUTURE-TEST REPRODUCTION

Requirements
  Rust stable with Cargo. The first build downloads crates declared in
  reproduction/Cargo.toml.

Small exhaustive classification

  Compare the four-way table with results/EXPECTED-RESULTS.txt. This is the
  practical reproduction path for the 947,935-case public result.

Restricted tree counterexample

  Find the section "SMALLEST FILTER FAILURE at tau=3 on trees". It should
  report N=1770, D=1762, d_v=7 and a negative global entropy change.
  Use release mode: the exact copied source has a debug-only unsigned-
  underflow panic in an unrelated diagnostic sweep. After the valid N=1770
  section, ignore its invalid d_v=0 row and stale "4998 pendants" summary.
  Those diagnostics are preserved for source provenance and do not support
  any claim in the article.

Large exhaustive sources
  tau-bounded-verify, dmin2-detail, and m3-verify-n8 are included so the
  search definitions and counted units can be inspected. Their full runs
  traverse much larger spaces; m3-verify-n8 enumerates all 2^28 possible
  eight-node edge sets before filtering. Do not treat a partial run as a
  reproduction of the published totals.

Weighted boundary

  This is a deterministic finite sampling design. It establishes sampled
  counterexamples, not a universal weight threshold.
